And Scunthorpe United set up a trip to Stamford Bridge to face last season's Premier League champions Chelsea after a 3-0 win over Leyton Orient at Glanford Park on Tuesday.

Salford City's Cup dreams were brought to an end, when they lost 2-0 to Hartlepool United in extra time at Victoria Park whilst Shrewsbury Town relied on a late winner to knock-out another of the remaining non-League clubs in Grimsby Town.

Wednesday saw the final second round tie as National League South outfit Whitehawk welcomed Dagenham & Redbridge to their Brighton home.

What followed was a thrilling tie, which finished 2-2 before the Daggers of League Two edged it in extra time to earn their third round trip to Everton.

The third round will start on Friday 8 January 2016 with Liverpool's trip to Exeter City with the remaining ties taking place over the weekend of Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 January.
