Ali Al Habsi voted Player of The FA Cup Fourth Round

Wigan goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi has been rewarded for his FA Cup performance against Crystal Palace by being voted the Budweiser Player of the Round.

Al Habsi, who helped the Latics win The Cup last season, made a string of stops to keep Tony Pulis’ side at bay before Ben Watson side-footed the hosts into the lead.

Palace did equalise through Aaron Wilbraham, but Al Habsi made a few more saves before James McClean bagged a 77th-minute winner to send Wigan into Round Five, where they will travel to 2008 runners-up Cardiff City.

Al Habsi’s performance earned him 62% of the public vote ahead of Sergio Aguero, Matty Fryatt and Oscar.
