FA Level four referee, Craig Langton, has been suspended for eight weeks, fined £100 and warned to his future conduct after being charged with Misconduct under FA Rule E3 – Improper Conduct – after posting offensive comments on Twitter.

The incident occurred on Saturday 4 April when Langton was involved in an exchange responding to tweets indicating that someone was selling memorial tickets relating to the Hillsborough disaster.

The exchange took place while the Hillsborough Inquests were taking place and had reached a very sensitive part of the proceedings, especially relating to the police evidence.

Mr Langton will serve his suspension from Monday 3 August and Sunday 11 October 2015.
