FA statement on Salisbury City

Following the issuing of several statements on http://salisburycity-fc.co.uk , The Football Association considers it appropriate to correct the position outlined as follows.

The FA recognises the independence of the Appeals Process and does not intend to investigate any of the actions of the Appeal Board appointed to hear this case.

The Appeal Board has issued its findings in this matter which include the finding as to which individual(s) has the right of representation of the entity Salisbury City FC Limited.

The FA would confirm that the Independent Appeal Board carried out an extensive review of the position that included consideration of over 400 pages of submissions from various parties.  The FA recognises that the decision of the Appeal Board is final and binding.

The FA also recognises the importance of Salisbury City FC within its community and is exploring all feasible options to attempt to secure a position for the club in an appropriate League, although this will be contingent on the club being able to meet the necessary entry criteria.
