Julie Chipchase will take an England Women’s Under-23s squad to Norway at the end of May to compete in the annual Nordic Tournament.

The Young Lions will take on Sweden, USA and the host nation in the space of five days.

Nordic schedule

27 May - Norway v England
29 May - Sweden v England
31 May - England v USA

This friendly competition has become a regular fixture in the U23s’ calendar and will be overseen by Chipchase and former Sunderland boss Mick Mulhern, as England’s head coach, Marieanne Spacey, will be with the senior team at the World Cup in Canada.

Ten of the squad were a part of Mo Marley’s group at the U20s World Cup last summer, including Sunderland’s Beth Mead, who has scored four goals in the Black Cats’ opening six FA WSL 1 matches.
