England Under-21s forward Wilfried Zaha has sealed a deadline day move from Manchester United to Cardiff City.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs during January, with United boss David Moyes happy to let the former Crystal Palace player leave on a temporary basis.

And he has signed a deal until the end of the season with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, where he will be hoping to get more Premier League games under his belt.

Zaha speaks to TheFA.com earlier this season.

It’s been a frustrating campaign for Zaha, who has found his opportunities at Old Trafford limited this season with only four appearances to his name.

But he’s been a regular on the international scene, featuring in all of the six Euro 2015 qualifiers for Gareth Southgate’s Under-21 team so far this season.

Speaking about the decision to let Zaha leave, Moyes revealed: "There were a few clubs who wanted him on loan, but in the end we felt that Cardiff was the best choice for him."

Zaha will go straight into the Cardiff squad for their game with Norwich City at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday.

Meanwhile, young England and United defenders Tom Thorpe and Tyler Blackett have joined Championship side Birmingham City on loan.

The pair have signed in at St. Andrew’s until the end of the season and both go straight into Lee Clark’s squad for their game against Derby County on Saturday.

Central defender Thorpe, 21, has already captained United’s reserve and Under-21 teams and been a regular for England over the years, most recently in Gareth Southgate’s Under-21 squad earlier this season.

He also featured in the U20 World Cup in Turkey last summer, having previously captained the U19s to the European Championship semi-final in 2012.

Thorpe was also part of the England U17s team which was crowned as Euro champions in 2010 but despite his success at international level, he has yet to have a taste of first-team football at club level.

Left-back Blackett, who has featured for England at U16, U17, U18 and U19 level, has previously been on loan with Blackpool this season.

The Under-21s are next in action on Wednesday 5 March when they take on Wales at Derby County’s iPro Stadium in their first Euro qualifier of 2014.

Tickets are on sale, priced at just £10 for Adults and £5 for U18s. These can be purchased in person from the Digonex Ticket Office, by calling 0871 472 1884 (option 1) or by visiting WeAreDerby.com.
