The Leicester City defender made his first start for the Three Lions in the win over Wales in May and hasn’t looked back since by becoming a rock in the centre of Gareth Southgate’s back line.
Strong in the tackle, pacy and powerful in the air, Moore has quietly knuckled down to become one of Southgate’s first-choice central defenders.
And he registered his first England goal at the best possible time, by thumping home a volley in the Euro play-off with Croatia to secure a crucial away goal and set up a 2-1 win in Vinkovci to seal a place in next summer's Euro Finals.
This all came on the back of a successful year with his hometown club Leicester City, as the 21-year-old was a mainstay of Nigel Pearson’s team in their Championship title-winning campaign.
He made a total of six appearances in 2014 and was unfortunate to miss out on the November double-header with Portugal and France due to illness.
