England U16s held by USA at St. George's Park on Sunday

England Under-16s began their season with a 2-2 draw against USA on Sunday afternoon.

The nations met at St. George’s Park in the first of two matches at the national football centre in Burton.

And goals from Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Austin Samuels in the 40th minute and Chelsea defender Marc Guehi in the 70th minute helped Dan Micciche’s side to finish the game all level.

At full time, a penalty shoot-out was held with England running out victors in that practice exercise.

The second game between the nations will take place at St. George’s Park on Wednesday afternoon.
