England U17 squad named for Algarve tournament

The England U17 team

England U17 Head Coach John Peacock has named a 20-man squad for the Algarve Tournament at the end of February.

The Young Lions will face Netherlands, Portugal and Germany in the annual competition as they prepare for the European Championship Elite Round qualifiers in Czech Republic in March.

There is a first call-up for RC Lens’ midfielder Taylor Moore, and he is joined by fellow newcomers Callum Connolly of Everton and Karl Ahearne-Grant of Charlton Athletic.

 

Algarve Tournament

Wednesday 26 February, 4pm, Municipal Stadium
England v Netherlands

Friday 28 February, 4pm, Algarve Stadium
Portugal v England

Sunday 2 March, 12 noon, Municipal Stadium
Germany v England

 

 

England will play Netherlands at the Municipal Stadium in Lagos on Wednesday 26 February, followed by Portugal on Friday 28 February at the Algarve Stadium before they return to Lagos for their final match with Germany on Sunday 2 March.
