England and Everton youngster John Lundstram will be adding to his first-team experience this season after signing on loan for Yeovil Town.

The central midfielder, who represented England at the U20 World Cup this summer, has signed an initial one month loan deal at Huish Park and goes straight into their squad to face Watford on Saturday.

Liverpool-born Lundstram joins his Goodison Park team-mate Shane Duffy at the Championship club, after previously enjoying a successful loan spell in League One with Doncaster Rovers last season.

The 19-year-old was part of the Rovers squad which won promotion to the Championship and he will now have the chance to test himself at that level with the Glovers.

Speaking about the move, Yeovil boss Gary Johnson said: “Everton have watched all our games this season with Shane Duffy being on loan here.

"They are more than happy for us to take John on loan and we are delighted to welcome him here to Huish Park.”

Lundstram has been a regular at various levels for England over the last three years, winning caps for the U17, U18, U19 and U20 teams, often as captain.

In that time, he has featured in two European Championship Final campaigns (U17s in 2011 and U19s in 2012) and two World Cups (U17s in 2011 and U20s in 2013).
