James Milner withdraws from England squad for double-header

James Milner will miss England's games against Spain and France

Roy Hodgson’s England team has landed in Alicante to begin their preparations for Friday night’s fixture against Spain at the Estadio Jose Rico Perez. 

The Three Lions squad has been reduced to 22, with Liverpool's James Milner forced to withdraw through injury.

The 57-cap midfielder sat out the Reds' Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace at Anfield on Sunday and will now miss England's forthcoming games against Spain and France. No replacement is due to be added to Hodgson's squad.

England will remain in Spain until Saturday before they return to London for an equally tough test against Euro 2016 hosts France. 

The match at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday 17 November is a Breast Cancer Care International and will be England's final game of 2015.
