Roy Hodgson has written to the mayors of Manaus, Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte ahead of England's games in the Brazilian cities in this summer’s World Cup.
The Three Lions start their group campaign against Italy in the Amazonian city of Manaus on Saturday 14 June, before they head further south to Sao Paulo for their game with Uruguay five days later.
The group fixtures are then rounded off in Belo Horizonte on Tuesday 24 June when Costa Rica are the opposition.
And Hodgson has made contact with each of the cities ahead of his trip to Brazil later this month, when he will spend time in Manaus before taking in a World Cup coaches’ workshop in Florianopolis.
During the trip, he will see the Arena Amazonia as well as the hotel and training facilities which his squad will use during their three-night stay in Manaus.
In his letter to Manaus’s mayor Arthur Virgilio Neto, Hodgson wrote: "We are extremely happy to be visiting your city as part of our World Cup experience.
“I know the city of Manaus will be a fine location for our team to be based ahead of the group stage match against Italy.
"I am particularly keen to make contact with you following last year's media reports about the England v Italy match in Manaus.
"I would like to put on record that I am looking forward to experiencing your city, learning about the culture and history and of course meeting the people!
“It promises to be one of the highlights of the tournament for us."
