The Women's Regional Leagues have unveiled a new brand identity, signalling the start of an exciting new chapter for the competitions that sit at Tiers 5 and 6 of the Women's Football Pyramid.
Led by volunteers and providing nationwide coverage across eight regions, the Women's Regional Leagues play a vital role in the development of the women's game. As participation continues to grow, the leagues are becoming increasingly important in strengthening governance, developing the workforce, supporting clubs and raising the profile of women's football in communities across the country.
For the first time, all eight regional leagues will be united under a single identity, bringing together the North East, North West, West Midlands, East Midlands, Eastern, Southern, South West, and London & South East regions under one shared vision.
The new identity has been shaped by the people at the heart of the game. Consultation with players, coaches and members of the wider football community highlighted a desire for the Women's Regional Leagues to become more professional, recognisable and connected, while continuing to celebrate the unique character and communities within each region.
The refreshed brand reflects the continued evolution of women's football and provides a stronger, more consistent platform from which the regional leagues can continue to develop both on and off the pitch.
The FA remains committed to strengthening the Women's Football Pyramid and supporting the Women's Regional Leagues through a range of targeted initiatives. This includes providing governance support to league management committees and creating professional development opportunities for the dedicated volunteers whose contribution is central to the success of the game at this level.
This support is helping clubs to strengthen their operations, enhance experiences for players and supporters, and build deeper connections within their local communities. Together, these efforts are creating a more sustainable, visible and resilient women's football pyramid, ensuring the game continues to thrive.
Working closely with the leagues, The FA also delivers marketing, communications and club development support designed to raise the profile of women's football, attract new audiences and unlock opportunities for growth. By helping clubs improve matchday experiences, engage supporters and build strong foundations for the future, The FA is playing an important role in creating an ambitious and vibrant future for women's football at Tiers 5 and 6.
The launch of the new brand identity marks an important milestone for the Women's Regional Leagues, reflecting both the progress already made and the opportunities that lie ahead as the women's game continues its rapid growth across England.
