Erling Haaland's clinical hat-trick led Manchester City into the Emirates FA Cup semi-finals for the eighth consecutive season as they defeated Liverpool 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
Antoine Semenyo also found the net as last season's runners-up continued on their mission to go one better this time around with a dominant display, securing their 18th straight home win in this competition.
Liverpool had started the brighter of the two sides and Dominik Szoboszlai saw a shot blocked before Hugo Ekitike rolled an effort wide.
Mohamed Salah, playing his first match since it was announced he will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, then screwed a shot well wide when well placed having brushed off the attentions of a defender as the visitors continued to threaten.

Haaland slotted home the opener from the spot after Nico O’Reilly was fouled by Virgil van Dijk and the Norwegian doubled the lead in first-half injury time, heading home Semenyo’s cross.
The hosts picked up where they left off after the break and Semenyo made it three in the 50th minute, latching on to Cherki’s pass and finishing confidently past Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Salah came close to reducing the arrears but James Trafford was equal to his effort, while a confident Semenyo tried an audacious effort from the halfway line which landed on the roof of the net.
A confident City scored their fourth before the hour mark when O’Reilly’s cutback found Haaland, who converted via the underside of the bar to complete a remarkable 28th career treble.
Salah spurned his most presentable opportunity of the afternoon from the spot after Ekitike was fouled by Matheus Nunes, Trafford diving to his left to keep out the Egyptian's penalty.
Trafford also beat away Alexis MacAllister's long-range effort as City comfortably saw the game out.
