FA Chair, Debbie Hewitt MBE, was joined by a variety of international guests at the England men’s senior team’s double header at Wembley Stadium in March for their World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia.

Debbie welcomed her counterparts from the opposition football associations – the Albania FA President and UEFA Vice President, Armand Duka, and Latvia FA President, Vadims Ļašenko – with both accompanied by their association’s general secretaries and federation colleagues.

And it was a family affair for both games under the arch. Albania’s Ļašenko was joined by his mother and grandmother who were attending their first football match, while Latvia’s Duka was accompanied by his young grandchildren.

Debbie was also joined in the Royal Box by welcome two FA Presidents from further afield with both fixtures providing an opportunity to come together off the pitch to celebrate valuable cooperation and relationships, while working towards the development of football globally.

President of the Grenada Football Association, Marlon Glean, and President of the Kyrgyz Football Union, Kamchybek Tashiev, also spent time with the FA Chair to discuss their shared experiences as leaders of their national governing bodies.
