Ahead of their UEFA EURO 2024 qualifiers against Denmark and Kazakhstan in June, the Northern Ireland senior men’s team has utilised the facilities at St. George’s Park to prepare for the double-header of matches.

Staying in the comfort of our on-site Hilton Hotel, Michael O’Neill’s staff and players have been able to go through their paces on St. George’s Park’s pristine pitches, as well as making use of the state-of-the-art equipment in the National Football Centre’s gym, in addition to the hydrotherapy facilities available to aid recovery.

“It has been a brilliant week at St George’s Park,” reflected Northern Ireland manager, Michael O’Neill. “The facilities are world class, which has helped the players and the coaching staff train, rest and recuperate in a positive environment.

“This is an important period in the journey of our EURO qualifying campaign and so using this training facility is a key factor our preparation for the qualification games we have in June.”

Northern Ireland travel to Denmark on Friday 16 June (7.45pm KO), before returning to Windsor Park to host Kazakhstan on Monday 19 June (7.45pm KO).

St. George’s Park’s General Manager, Andy Savery, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome our guests from across the water to St. George’s Park, and we wish Michael, his staff and all the players the best of luck in their forthcoming EURO qualifiers.

“Outside of England camps, all of our performance facilities are available for teams and organisations to hire, and Northern Ireland’s visit heralds the start of what promises to be a very busy summer for us at the National Football Centre. We already have a number of teams scheduled to join us for pre-season camps, which we’re looking forward to.”
