GB Rowing Team continue preparation towards the Olympics at St. George’s Park

The GB Rowing Team men’s squad enter their final week of a three-week training camp at the home of England football teams, St. George’s Park.
 
The team are working towards the rescheduled 2020 Tokyo Olympics which is set to begin in July 2021. They would usually travel abroad for their annual January training camp, but the world-class facilities of St. George’s Park in Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire presented an appealing option within the UK.

British Rowing is the first elite sport to visit St. George’s Park in 2021 while operating under strict COVID-19 protocols, with England Men’s Rugby due to begin their Six Nations preparation on Monday with a week’s training camp. The home of England football teams then welcomes back the England Women’s squad mid-February as they look to continue preparations for the Olympics and home EURO’s the following year.
