England MU17s will be looking to build on a successful September when they head to Spain for three games this month.

Kevin Betsy’s squad will play two games against Germany before taking on host nation Spain at the Pinatar Arena, near Murcia.

The Young Lions’ first match with Germany is on Thursday 10 October before they meet again 48 hours later on Saturday 12 October.

And they will wrap up their trip on Monday 14 October when they play Spain.

Last month saw Betsy and his squad come home with the Syrenka Cup, after their dramatic shootout victory over hosts Poland, following impressive wins against Austria and Finland before that.

MU17s head coach Kevin Betsy is looking forward to two testing games for his side in October

“We're using these games to help us continue the preparations for our Euro qualification campaign which starts in March," said Betsy.

“We've a mixture of players who were with us in the last camp but we’ve also taken the opportunity to have a look at some new players and those that have been involved last season.

“Our plan was always to play extremely strong opposition and both teams are among the top nations in the world, which will be a great challenge for our players to test themselves against the best.

“Playing Germany twice also gives us the chance to play a high level opponent in a short space of time and benefit from the tactical challenges they will bring, while playing Spain at their home will be a good psychological experience for the players in their short and long-term development .”
