Sunderland among live TV picks in Emirates FA Cup first round

Four Emirates FA Cup first round ties have been selected for live TV broadcast.

A bumper weekend of knockout action will begin with AFC Wimbledon’s trip to Haringey Borough, a tie you can watch live on BBC Two on Friday 9 November.

The other three live ties will be broadcast on BT Sport 1.

Their coverage starts with Maidenhead United taking on 2008 winners Portsmouth at York Road on Saturday 10 November.

Two-time FA Cup winners Sunderland are next up, with their visit to Vale Park being broadcast on Sunday 11 November.

And the weekend will be rounded off with Hampton & Richmond Borough v Oldham Athletic on Monday 12 November.

The FA’s live broadcast fee is £75,000 per club. The broadcast fee for extended highlights on a Saturday is £6,750 per club while the fee for extended highlights, overseas broadcast and live single camera footage on a Sunday is £12,500 per club.

Meanwhile, each winning club will pick up £36,000 from The FA prize fund.
