Eight regional forums to be held for Asian communities to provide grassroots feedback

Friday 10 Aug 2018
Asian participants in grassroots football can have their say at eight consultation sessions across England in October and November

Asian communities across England will be able to engage and feedback their experiences of grassroots football later this year.

In October and November, there will be eight separate Asian community consultation forums taking place to gauge the opinions of participants, volunteers and administrators.

This follows on from similar consultations at the same venues in 2014, when over 500 people attended to help shape the ‘Bringing Opportunities to Communities’ plan to address the lack of Asian inclusion in the grassroots game.

With the first stage of that programme coming to an end, we now want to hear back from YOU, to find out what the game is like in 2018, what’s working and what could be better.

Every event will be free of charge, open to all communities, take place between 6.30pm and 9pm and will be a mixture of presentations and workshops, with refreshments included. You must book to attend for both security and organisational reasons.

We want as many participants as possible to register their feedback and experiences in grassroots football

The events are as follows:-

Forum 1: Middlesex FA, Northolt, Monday 1 October

Forum 2: Vallance Community Sports Association, London E1, Monday 8 October

Forum 3: Luton Town FC, Kenilworth Road, Monday 15 October

Forum 4: Walsall FC, The Banks’s Stadium, Monday 5 November

Forum 5: GNG Football Club Leicester, Riverside Football Ground, Tuesday 6 November

Forum 6: Sheffield United FC, Bramall Lane, Monday 12 November

Forum 7: Burnley FC, Turf Moor, Monday 19 November

Forum 8: Bradford City FC, Valley Parade, Monday 26 November

We expect all of these events to be at capacity, so we would encourage you to book online as soon as possible.
