The Emirates FA Cup trophy at Wembley on Cup Final day

Dan Ferrigno scored the winner as Hertford Town claimed a five-goal thriller to progress to the Emirates FA Cup Second Round Qualifying at Grays Athletic.

It took just four minutes for the tie to swing into life as Perry Dunn poked Grays ahead with a low shot into the bottom corner following a set-piece.

Adeyinka Cole almost added a second shortly after with a powerful shot that was beaten away, before Tommy Wade levelled for Hertford.

Jamie Slabber regained the lead for Grays with a fine header, but Charlie Edwards sent the tie to extra time with a fine 25-yard strike.

And Ferrigno then won it in extra time with a low finish after some fine football to wrap up the win.

In the night's other tie, Westfields booked a clash with Leamington FC by beating Soham Town Rangers 1-0.

The hosts almost took the lead within two minutes but Ben Miller shot straight at the keeper from close range.

Rangers played their part in an entertaining first half, and only a timely intervention from captain Phil Glover prevented the visitors from taking the lead.

The game became scrappy after the break, but the hosts broke the deadlock just before the hour-mark when Alex Hainault fired in from close range.

Richard Greaves then went close to doubling their lead but his shot on the turn fell narrowly wide, before Soham piled on the pressure.

But Westfields held on to secure a priceless victory and can now look forward to another big tie next weekend.
