England were back in training on Sunday afternoon as they prepare to face Slovakia in their next World Cup qualifier.

Gareth Southgate and his squad returned to home soil on Saturday afternoon, after taking another step towards Russia with a 4-0 win over Malta on Friday night.

A brace from Harry Kane, coupled with a first England strike for Ryan Bertrand and a tidy finish from Danny Welbeck on his return to international duty mean the Three Lions remain in a strong position in their group with just three games remaining.

But with second-placed Slovakia being next up at Wembley, Monday’s game will prove to be a significant one in the race to qualify for next summer’s World Cup Finals.

All members of the squad took part in Sunday’s session, held at Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground in Enfield, north London.
