England to meet Italy, Netherlands and France at WU19 Euros

England will play Italy, Netherlands and France at the WU19 Euros

England have been drawn alongside Italy, Netherlands and holders France in Group A for August’s UEFA European Women’s Under-19 Championship.

The Young Lionesses qualified for the eight-team tournament in Northern Ireland boasting a 100 per cent record in elite round qualifying, keeping a clean sheet in each of their three wins.

Champions in 2009, England will prepare for the tournament with two matches against USA next month at St. George's Park.

England Fixtures
  • Women's Euro U19 Championship
  • Group B
  • v Italy: 3pm, Tuesday 8 August
  • v Netherlands: 7pm, Friday 11 August
  • v France: 3pm, Monday 14 August

The action kicks off on Tuesday 8 August, where England take on Italy in Lurgan.

Then they head to Belfast to take on Netherlands on Friday 11 August, before completing their group stage fixtures on Monday 14 August against four-time champions France in Ballymena.

Windsor Park will host both semi-finals on Thursday 17 August and the final on Sunday 20 August.

Mo Marley's team will qualify for the 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup if they reach the last four.

Should World Cup hosts France be among the semi-finalists then the third-place finishers in Groups A and B will contest a play-off on 17 August in Ballymena to determine who completes the quartet.
