English official Sian Massey-Ellis will be an assistant referee at Euro 2017 in the Netherlands

As the Lionesses prepare for this month’s Euro Finals, they won’t be the only English representative on duty in the Netherlands.

Premier League and EFL assistant referee Sian Massey-Ellis has been appointed by UEFA for the tournament, which kicks-off on Wednesday 12 July and runs until 6 August.

The Midlands-based official has taken charge of a number of matches in The FA Women’s Super League and will now await which group matches she will be designated to.

Massey-Ellis, who was awarded an MBE last year, has plenty of international experience having officiated in the previous finals of the UEFA Women’s European Championship and the UEFA Women’s Champions League as well as the 2014 FIFA Women’s U17 World Cup in Costa Rica.

Everyone at The FA would like to congratulate Sian on her latest international appointment.
