FA WSL 1 clubs have entered the SSE Women's FA Cup

Holders Arsenal will face north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur after the draw was made for the fifth round of the SSE Women’s FA Cup.

That is one of three local derbies in the last-16 as Liverpool host Everton and Birmingham City entertain West Brom.

Elsewhere, FA WSL 1 champions Manchester City will take on Reading, Aston Villa travel to Sunderland and Chelsea face six-time winners Doncaster Rovers Belles.

SSE Women's FA Cup
  • Fifth Round draw
  • Ties to take place on Sunday 19 March
  • Winning clubs to receive £3,000
The draw was made by pupils Julianna Guerra Calvo, 15, and Jessica Mendes, 15, at Hornsey School for Girls in London.

Arsenal's Jemma Rose attended the draw and met excited pupils from the school, before watching a girls' football session.

The Gunners won last year's competition, beating Chelsea 1-0 in The Final at Wembley Stadium connected by EE in front of a record crowd of more than 32,000.

This year's Final will also take place at Wembley on Saturday 13 May, with kick-off now confirmed for 5.15pm.

The fifth-round ties will be played on Sunday 19 March and each winning club will receive £3,000 from The FA prize fund.

This season each draw will take place at a school and be made by pupils as part of SSE's new partnership with education charity Teach First.

By involving pupils in the draws and bringing female footballers to speak to young people in the classroom, the activity aims to encourage more girls to get involved with grassroots football projects and provide inspirational role models to schools in low-income communities.

John Stewart, SSE’s director of human resources, said: “We are extremely proud to sponsor the SSE Women’s FA Cup and to see the number of people attending The Final growing year on year.

“It’s been an exhilarating tournament so far, with more excitement to come as the WSL 1 teams enter in round five.

“We hope to see another record breaking crowd at The Final later this year and we’ll again be giving our customers access to special offers and the chance to win money-can’t-buy experiences at this fantastic family day out.”

Tickets for The Final are already on sale and thanks to The FA’s partnership with SSE, children can attend for free.

Adult tickets are priced £15 and group booking and Charter Standard discounts apply.
