England Women's U19s slip to defeat to Netherlands

Evie Clarke scored but couldn't prevent the U19s from slipping to defeat

England Women’s Under-19s lost 3-1 to Netherlands in the opening match of the annual La Manga Tournament.

Mo Marley’s side are preparing for the final round of Euro qualifiers later this month.

But their opening match in southern Spain didn’t go according to plan as the Dutch went ahead just before the half-hour mark.

Arsenal youngster Evie Clarke levelled just after the restart but Netherlands scored twice more to claim all three points.
