And as the East Midlands Counties Football League side prepare to host Ilkeston in the first round qualifying, the world’s most famous trophy was in Leicestershire to soak up the atmosphere in the market town.

Ashby chairman Stuart Bonser said: "This is an amazing few days for the club and these opportunities don't come around very often so we grabbed it with both hands and got to show The FA Cup to the whole community.

"It’s great when I get kids asking me when we are next playing in The FA Cup.

"We are all very excited about the game on Saturday and loving the journey, and I am sure that our players are equally as excited.

"I know they will certainly be up for the challenge against a team three steps higher in the league pyramid.

"We anticipate a huge crowd."

The winning club will receive £3000 from The FA prize and more importantly a place in the second round qualifying.
