Demarai Gray has been a regular with the England U20s this season

Birmingham City’s Demarai Gray has been called into the England Under-21 squad by head coach Gareth Southgate, ahead of this month’s two European qualifiers against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Switzerland.

It follows the withdrawal through injury of Norwich City’s Nathan Redmond and will be Gray’s first call-up to the England Under-21s having previously represented the national team at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 levels.

The 19-year-old, who was initially named in Keith Downing's U20 squad for two games with France this week, will join Southgate’s group at St George’s Park on Sunday evening before the team travels to Sarajevo for the game on Thursday [12 November], which kicks-off at 1pm local time.

Following that, the Three Lions face Switzerland at Brighton & Hove Albion’s Amex Stadium on Monday 16 November [kick-off 5.45pm]

Tickets for that game are available now, costing just £10 for adults and £5 concessions. Call 0844 327 1901 or visit www.seagullstickets.com
