Wright and Wenger offer differing views on Semi-Final

Arsenal were 2-1 winners in the Sixth Round tie at Old Trafford on Monday

FA Cup holders Arsenal were installed as favourites to retain their trophy after their win at Manchester United set up a Semi-Final clash with Bradford City or Reading.

A second-half goal from former United striker Danny Welbeck was enough to secure their progress to the last four courtesy of a 2-1 win and they will now await the winners of next week's replay at the Madejski Stadium.

The other Wembley tie pits the winners of Liverpool and Blackburn's replay against Aston Villa.

And former Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright, a Wembley FA Cup winner with The Gunners in 1993, said: "That’s a really good draw for Arsenal.

"No disrespect to Bradford or Reading, but Arsenal at Wembley against one of those two teams - you’ve got to fancy them."

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger recalled last season's Semi-Final against Wigan Athletic before they went on to beat Hull City in a tense Final.

Wenger said: "Last year we played a tricky game at Wembley in the Semi-Final and and we will expect that again.

"We’ve played them [both teams] before but first lets enjoy the win over Manchester United.”

Pressed on Arsenal's League Cup defeat by Bradford in 2012, Wenger preferred to focus on the present and added: "The result is always down to the performance on the day so we will concentrate on that."
