England Under-21s striker Harry Kane continued his remarkable goalscoring form on Saturday, with his double helping Tottenham Hotspur to victory at QPR.

The 21-year-old notched his 24th and 25th goals of the season and netted in the sixth successive away game, as Spurs edged the only Premier League match of the day at Loftus Road.

With Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson watching on, Kane put Spurs ahead in the first half with a well-taken header from an Andros Townsend cross before putting Mauricio Pochettino's men 2-0 up early in the second half after a pass from former England U20s midfielder Ryan Mason.

A late goal from Spurs old boy Sandro reduced the deficit for Rangers, but it wasn't enough to inspire a comeback for the struggling west London outfit.

"It was a great win. A tough game against a tough team," said Kane after the game.

"We were 2-0 up and playing well, they got the goal and made it hard for us. We're delighted to come away with three points.

"I will try and get as many goals as I can. The most important thing is that we're winning."

Elsewhere, Kane's U21s team-mate Tom Ince was on target for Derby County in the Championship, as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Birmingham City at the iPro Stadium.

And England U20s midfielder John Swift, currently on loan at Swindon Town from Chelsea, netted the opener for the Robins in their 3-0 victory over Notts County.
