Adam Lallana sets out a drill to improve your weaker foot

Liverpool star Adam Lallana has launched The FA’s ‘Masterclass’ series aimed at helping young footballers develop their skills.

The 27-year-old spent eight years honing his craft at Southampton before making a £25million move to the Reds last summer.

And as part of a collaboration with Vauxhall, the England team sponsor, the midfielder gave up his time to give something back to the game by taking part in FATV’s latest mini-series.

Lallana showcased a simple drill helping players improve their weaker foot. He said: “It’s a drill I did when I was younger. My dad told me to do this as well as coaches I had growing up.

“Not having to think about what foot you’re going to use in a game is massively important. Someone like Santi Cazorla at Arsenal uses both feet and doesn’t have to think about it.

“Football is improving every day so any little percentage you can improve your ability by will leave you in good stead.”
