England stepped up their preparations ahead of their trip to Ireland when they were out on the training pitch at St. George's Park on Thursday.

Roy Hodgson's men enjoyed their session in the sun, with 21 members of the squad in action - including new boys Tom Heaton, Charlie Austin and Jamie Vardy.

Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph stayed in the gym as he recovered from a slight knock picked up in The FA Cup Final.

Meanwhile, Liverpool's Adam Lallana was not at the national football centre as he spent an extra day with his family following this birth of his second child.

After training, the players signed autographs for the invited guests and England Supporters Club competitions winners before Vardy and Austin spoke to the press about their first international call-ups.
