The Young Lions will then end the trip with a final match against Germany at The Algarve Stadium on Tuesday 17 February.

The tournament will be the final opportunity for head coach Peacock to take a look at his squad before they host the European Championship Elite Round qualifiers at St. George’s Park in March.

Last season’s tournament proved to be a valuable experience for the U17s as they finished second after a 1-0 defeat to Germany in their final match. Peacock’s side then went on to top their group in the Elites the following month before winning the Euros in Malta last summer.

The squad for the tournament is expected to be named next week.
