England Women's U23s squad named for La Manga

The England Women’s U23s squad will convene at the end of the month for three testing matches in La Manga.

They will take on Sweden (on 26 February), China (on 28 February) and USA (on 2 March) as they continue their international development.

Eight of the squad went to Canada last year as part of England’s U20s World Cup squad, and they are joined by seasoned U23s campaigners Mary Earps, Dan Carter and Jemma Rose.

The U23s will be led by Julie Chipchase, as regular head coach Marieanne Spacey will be with the seniors at the Cyprus Cup.

Goalkeepers: Mary Earps (Bristol Academy), Megan Walsh (Everton).

Defenders: Becky Jane (Reading), Aoife Mannion (Birmingham City), Paige Williams (Everton), Hannah Blundell (Chelsea), Jemma Rose (Arsenal), Martha Harris (Liverpool).

Midfielders: Millie Bright (Chelsea), Sherry McCue (Aston Villa), Emma Follis (Aston Villa), Lauren Bruton (Reading), Jess Sigsworth (Notts County), Kasia Lipka (Doncaster Rovers Belles).

Forwards: Nikita Parris (Manchester City – loan), Kirsty Linnett (Birmingham City), Dan Carter (Arsenal).
