Will Hughes has been ruled out for up to six months after suffering cruciate ligament damage against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, Derby County have confirmed.

The England Under-21s midfielder will have an operation on his right knee and looks set to miss the Rams’ remaining matches of 2015.

Hughes has earned 17 caps for the Under-21s and has scored two goals. 

He also appeared for the Young Lions at the 2015 European Championship in Czech Republic.

The Under-21s are next in action on Thursday 3 September when they will entertain USA U23s at Deepdale, home to Preston North End FC.

Tickets for the game are priced at just £10 for adults and £5 for children, with a family ticket (two adults and two children) costing £20 and group bookings of 15+ working out at £5 for adults and £1 for children.

Season ticket holders at Deepdale can also claim half price tickets and concessions for U18s, over 65s and students (on production of valid ID) are £5.
