Manchester City captain Tosin Adarabioyo says they still believe they can turn their luck around against holders Chelsea in The FA Youth Cup Final.

The young Sky Blues find themselves 3-1 down from last week’s first leg at the Academy Stadium ahead of Monday’s return game at Stamford Bridge.

But defender Adarabioyo, who has played for England U18s and been compared to City skipper Vincent Kompany, saw enough from that game to suggest they can put pressure on the favourites.

"I think we should have had a few more goals in the first leg," he said.

"We had a lot of chances. Their defence did very well to stop us but it was a good game and I think we can bounce back in the second leg.

"We did really well to create chances and sometimes you just can’t finish them.

"We know that in the second leg we’ll be able to take our chances."

Chelsea are in their fourth successive Youth Cup Final and aiming to retain the title after beating Fulham last year.

And with a big crowd set for Stamford Bridge expecting to see Joe Edwards’ side run out winners, the 17-year-old is looking forward to sampling the atmosphere and pressure.

"There is a bit of pressure, but all the boys can handle it," he said.

"All of our players are magnificent. We’ve got top class players, even world-class players in our team."

As for those comparisons to Kompany, the Manchester-born central defender is honoured to be mentioned in the same breath.

"I love Vincent Kompany," he admitted.

"He’s a very dominant and aggressive player. I always look up to him, he’s a great player.

"I see him around a lot, I watch him train and I like the way he plays."
