From Wednesday 1 October adult tickets will be priced at £15.

The match marks the first time that the England Women’s team have played at the new Wembley and will form part of the team’s preparations for next summer’s FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Three Lions qualified for next summer’s showpiece, which will be staged in Canada, after winning nine out of nine of their Group 6 qualifiers and conceding one goal.

They finished their qualifying campaign away in Montenegro in fine style with a thumping 10-0 win earlier this month.

Sampson said: “After securing qualification for the World Cup, the Germany announcement has created huge excitement within the women's football community.

“Just looking at the history of England v Germany matches at Wembley, such as in 1966, 1996 and the last match at the old Wembley; it sends a shiver down your spine to think that we have the opportunity now to add to that history – and with a women’s game.

“I know The FA is working very hard to support the match and get as many supporters to the game as possible, and I really hope the whole of the football community comes out in force to support the team.”
