Last season’s League Cup Final finished in nail-biting fashion when Aston Villa beat Leeds United 5-4 on penalties.

Thura KT Win, chairman of The FA Women’s Premier League, said: "The FAWPL cup final is one of the major dates in the women’s football calendar and we’re looking forward to another great occasion.

"Burton Albion are a big supporter of women’s football, hosting the FA WSL Continental Cup and UEFA Women’s U17 Euros matches in recent years, and the Pirelli Stadium is a fantastic facility to host the League Cup Final.

Burton Albion chairman Ben Robinson added: "Burton Albion are really honoured to be hosting such a prestigious game at the Pirelli Stadium and we thank The Football Association for this exciting fixture when we look forward to welcoming some of the best women footballers playing in this country and a great occasion."
