England Women’s U19 head coach Mo Marley has selected her squad for next month’s European Championship qualifiers in Finland.

The Young Lions will take on the host nation, Serbia and Denmark between 5-10 April in a round-robin tournament with the top-placed nation making it through to the finals, which will be staged in Norway in July.

Fifteen of Marley’s crop competed in the annual La Manga Tournament earlier this month, while seven of them helped England to a runners-up spot in last year’s Euros.

Qualifying schedule

v Denmark, 5 April
v Serbia, 7 April
v Finland, 10 April

Marley said: "I have been really pleased with the progress of this group of players.

"We played exceptionally well in spells in all three matches in La Manga and hopefully we can take that momentum into these qualifiers.

"We know what we’re facing and it is essentially a finals group we are in, not a qualifying group. We beat Denmark and Finland last year but the Finns have qualified for the U20 World Cup so we know they have got the talent.

"And we lost to Serbia in last season’s qualifiers so we know it’s going to be a top, top group but that’s what it’s all about."

Marley has led the U19 age group to the final of the European Championship four times in the last seven years, winning the title in Belarus in 2009.
