A 30-man squad linked up on Sunday night at the team hotel in Hertfordshire and all but five of those players trained at the Tottenham Hotspur base.

Spurs duo Andros Townsend and Kyle Walker, along with Cardiff City's Steven Caulker, Norwich City's John Ruddy and Southampton's Adam Lallana stayed inside to continue their recovery work following games at the weekend.

There was a first appearance in an England Senior team training session for Saints defender Luke Shaw, while many regulars like captain Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney and Ashley Cole looked to be relishing their return to the Three Lions fold after over three months without international action.

England's meeting with Denmark is at Wembley on Wednesday night and will be the final chance for Hodgson to see his players before he must submit his long squad for the World Cup to FIFA.
