Fern Whelan insists Everton are ready to put their early-season woes behind them when they resume their FA WSL campaign on Sunday.

The Toffees are currently second from bottom, having picked up just two points from their opening four matches.

They also lost The FA Women’s Cup Final to Arsenal at the beginning of the month.

Everton v Chelsea

FA WSL 1
3.15pm BST, Sunday 29 June 2014
Select Security Stadium, Halton
Live on BT Sport
Tickets priced £5 for adults, £2.50 for concessions

But Whelan says all eyes are already on their next match – which is against Chelsea at the Select Security Stadium in Halton, part of an exciting double-header being broadcast live on BT Sport.

The centre back explained: “We are definitely ready to go.

“We have had a few players out on international duty so we are looking forward to getting them back.

“We will then work on the issues that went wrong for us in the first part of the season.

“When we do have a bad game or a poor result we never think that it was because we weren’t good enough. We just didn’t turn up and play as well as we could on the day.

“We will look to put that right and focus on Chelsea.

“We know it will be a tough game but it is one that we are looking forward to.”

Tickets for the double-header are still available, priced £5 for adults and £2.50 for concessions
