England were back to work on the training ground in Brazil on Monday morning as their preparations for the next World Cup game continue.

Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson was joined on the pitch at Urca by all 23 members of his squad, before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain continued his recovery work from a knee injury picked up in last week's game with Ecuador separately.

And spirit in the squad remains high after the group's return to their Rio de Janeiro base camp on Sunday morning following their 2-1 defeat to Italy in Manaus the night before.

The players underwent a recovery session at their hotel on Sunday, so this was their first visit to Urca since last Wednesday and they will train here again on Tuesday before heading to Sao Paulo on Wednesday for the game with Uruguay.
