Application process for new FA Futsal Cup now open

Thursday 24 Jul 2014
Baku United won last season's FA Futsal Cup at the Copper Box in London in June
The application window for clubs wishing to compete in The FA Futsal Cup Local Qualifying Leagues during the 2014-15 season is NOW open.

Following the success of last year’s competition, The FA are pleased to announce that the Futsal Cup will be part of the 2014-15 Futsal calendar.

The University Of Gloucester squad celebrate winning The FA Futsal Cup 2014.

University of Gloucester were the women's FA Futsal Cup winners last season

To build on the popularity of the game and number of teams that participated last season, the format of The FA Futsal Cup has been altered with the competition having the following schedule:-

Men’s: Local Qualifying leagues – Regional Finals – National Qualifiers – Mini Leagues – National Finals.

Women’s: Local Qualifying leagues – National Qualifiers – National Finals.

If you currently run a Futsal league or are looking to do one, then what better time or opportunity to have your league part of a National competition in which your teams can compete against FA Futsal National League teams?

You could maybe even challenge last year’s winners, Baku United (men's) and University of Gloucestershire (women's).

If you wish to run a local qualifying league, then men’s and women’s leagues must register with The FA by 31 August 2014.

It is a simple process, so just complete the downloadable expression of interest form

Further information on the format of the competition is contained in the guidance document.
