Referee assessor and mentor opportunities at Essex County FA
Ever thought about becoming a qualified Referee Assessor, Mentor, Coach or FA Tutor?

Well, if you want to play a part in the development of future referees, then The Essex County FA may be able to provide to help you with the first step.

Three introduction evenings are being held in Chelmsford with a number of experienced speakers talking about each of the various roles that sit within the Essex County FA’s referee development team.

Assessors play an important role in the development of referees, offering guidance via assessments to assist in their rise up the promotion system.

The majority of the mentoring is on an informal basis, with the more experienced referees always willing to share information, ideas and advice at society meetings, grounds or even by telephone.

There is sometimes a need, however, for more structured schemes, particularly for new referees and for officials seeking to progress to the higher echelons of the game.

The three sessions will be held at Essex County Cricket Club in New Writtle Street, Chelmsford from 7.30pm until 9pm on the following dates:

  • Thursday 7th August
  • Friday 15th August
  • Tuesday 2nd September

If you are interested in becoming a Referee Assessor, Mentor, Coach or FA Tutor then indicate your preferred first and second choice of dates for the scheduled Introduction Evenings by completing the online form which can be accessed here.
