England Under-21s forward Thomas Ince has completed a move to the Premier League, with Crystal Palace signing him on loan from Blackpool.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs during January after Blackpool gave him permission to move away from Bloomfield Road on loan earlier in the month.

With Swansea City, Hull City, Sunderland, Stoke City and AS Monaco all reported to have made contact with the winger, he had no shortage of options.

Ince spoke to TheFA.com last November.

And the former Liverpool youngster has agreed to join Tony Pulis’ side until the end of the season and is expected to link up with the Palace squad for their trip to Arsenal on Sunday.

"It's never nice to leave a club like Blackpool, who have done ever so well for me," said Ince.

"I had three fantastic years there, but when an opportunity like this comes around... as soon as I met Tony Pulis and Steve Parish at Palace it felt like the right thing for me. I'm very happy.

"I spoke to Tony and it's amazing how well he has done there since he came in. He said to me I was someone he needs, someone who can run at people and create some magic in the final third.

"Steve has worked hard behind the scenes to get me to Palace and I'm grateful for that.

"I had a gut feeling - Palace was for me and I'm going to be happy to play in a Palace shirt," he told BBC Radio 5 Live

Ince’s first game for the Eagles will be his debut in the top flight, after starting his career at Liverpool, where he made only one League Cup appearance.

He joined the Seasiders in July 2011 and has proved to be a great success in the Championship, scoring 33 goals in 113 matches since then.

His form with the Lancashire club led to him becoming a regular with England Under-21s, having previously been capped at U17 and U19 level.

But Ince has not featured for Blackpool since his father, former England captain Paul Ince, left his position as manager earlier in the month.
