"This is yet another fantastic opportunity for the players and staff to experience a different culture," said Fairclough.

"Nestling in the borders of Lebanon, Israel, Syria Iraq and Saudi Arabia, Jordan has an amazing history.

"It will be important that the travelling squad are given the opportunity to perceive and experience the rich heritage."

Jordan's national team is currently ranked 65th in the FIFA World Rankings.

Football is hitting new heights in the country with the senior side making into the final play-off match for this year’s World Cup Finals.

Their hopes were ended by Luis Suarez’s Uruguay 5-0 on aggregrate.

Fairclough added "We do not know what to expect in terms of style and method, but that is not new for the England C team.

"Football has a universal language and the fixture will be played with enthusiasm and respect.

"It will be perfect in assisting me with preparation for our all-important International Challenge Trophy clash against Slovakia in May.”

The General Secretary of the Jordan FA, Khalil H. Al Salem is looking forward to the visit of the England team and to forging closer links between the two associations.

"I would like to hope that this is the first positive step towards more systematic national team exchanges in the future, for our men’s and women’s teams alike," he said.

It is expected that the management team and some of the players will take part in a coaching session for some youngsters in Amman.
