Arsene Wenger believes Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has similar attributes to England captain Steven Gerrard and could one day play an important part in the Three Lions' central midfield.
Chamberlain made his long-awaited return to action last week after a knee injury on the opening day of the Premier League kept him on the sidelines.
The 20-year-old, who has 13 caps for England, featured for 45 minutes in the Gunners' Under-21s win over Fulham on Thursday.
“Certainly he has the same qualities to Steven Gerrard.”

And Wenger says the winger, who last featured for England in the 3-2 win over Scotland in August, can make a return to the fold ahead of the World Cup this summer and has the ability to develop into a similar role as the Three Lions' skipper.
"He has a good opportunity now. I think he will be in Roy Hodgson's plans as he can play central and wide," said the Arsenal boss.
"On that front England do not have too many players."
He continued: "It is good for his education as he plays left, right and central when needed. After 23 or 24 you settle in a definite position.

"He had a big impact when he came on in that game against Brazil [in June 2013], especially in central midfield, and deep in central midfield his future will be there."
Wenger added: "He has a good long ball, penetration from deep and a good quality to distribute and penetrate individually. Certainly he has the same qualities to Steven Gerrard."
