The Championship's early kick-off saw England Under-21 goalkeeper Jack Butland make his Leeds United debut against Middlesbrough at the Riverside.

Butland, who became the youngest ever keeper to appear for the Three Lions when he made his debut against Italy in August 2012 aged 19, has joined the Yorkshire club on loan until the end of the season in an effort to boost his World Cup chances.

He enjoyed a fairly quiet first half but did brilliantly to tip over a long-range effort from Jacob Butterfield shortly before the break.

Butland’s Under-21 team-mate Nathaniel Chalobah enjoyed a fine game for Boro - which will be good news for Gareth Southgate as his Young Lions prepare to face Wales in Derby next month.

Neither man had a goal to celebrate - although Leeds had Butland to thank for a brave point-blank save from Albert Adomah to secure them a share of the spoils.

Bryn Morris, who captained England U18s to a 4-0 victory over Belgium on Tuesday, was an unused substitute for the hosts.

You can still buy tickets for the game with Wales at Derby, priced at just £10 for Adults and £5 for U18s.

These can be purchased in person from the Digonex Ticket Office, by calling 0871 472 1884 (option 1) or by visiting WeAreDerby.com.
