Lee Bradbury: 'FA Trophy Semi-Final far from over'

Havant & Waterlooville manager Lee Bradbury reckons the heat is on Gosport Borough ahead of his side's FA Carlsberg Trophy Semi-Final second leg showdown on Saturday.

Havant were frustrated at home to the Conference South strugglers on Monday night and had to settle for a 1-1 draw to take to Privett Park this weekend.

Nic Ciardini earned Bradbury's side a draw with his leveller just before the hour mark, leaving the second leg too close to call.

Reflecting on the first leg, the Hawks boss said: "It was a frustrating night for us, really.

"Gosport managed to frustrate us and the conditions were a major factor in not making us play our normal game.

"The pressure will be on them to try and win the tie at home. That may help us.

"They'll be happy they're still in the tie and so am I. Nic Ciardini has a fantastic strike on him, so we can cause them problems."

And although Bradbury is pleased to be in with a shout of making the Wembley Final, he wants to see his side build on the first leg draw.

He added: "I said to the players on Thursday that we still need to be in the tie for the second leg. We've done that but we want to improve on that.

"I've asked them to be brave on the ball and I've told them to do that in the second leg.

"The tie is in the balance - may the best team win. It's far from over."
