Wenger is looking for revenge against Liverpool

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists he is delighted his players have an immediate opportunity to seek revenge against Liverpool, when the two sides meet at the Emirates Stadium in the Fifth Round of The FA Cup on Sunday.

Wenger's charges suffered a chastening 5-1 defeat on Merseyside last weekend, which hauled Liverpool back into the title race and dampened Arsenal's hopes of ending their nine-year trophy drought.

And the two Premier League giants will lock horns once again this weekend with Wenger admitting his players are champing at the bit at the opportunity to set matters right against Brendan Rodgers' in-form side.

Wenger told Arsenal's official website: "I would say it is the first team we want to play. When you can put things right, you want an opportunity to do that and we have an opportunity.

"We have got it out of our systems because our main frailty at Liverpool was that we conceded goal after goal in 20 minutes."

However the Frenchman is not yet sure if he will ring the changes, as he attempts to guide Arsenal to success in The Cup for the first time since 2005.

He added: "I will play a team against Liverpool with a good opportunity, a good chance to qualify.

"Will I rest one player, or two or three? I don't know yet. Certainly we will have just one focus, which is to win the game.

"We have rotated quite well, if you look at the number of players we have used. I have the same level of confidence in every player.

"For example, I rate Jenkinson but Sagna has a bit more experience so when we go in a game with more pressure, I give the advantage sometimes to the experienced player."

The Gunners will be without Spain international Santi Cazorla, who is sidelined through illness but French anchorman Mathieu Flamini will be available for selection again after serving his suspension.
